Red Bull threaten to leave Formula 1
Red Bull are gearing up for the 2019 F1 season, one where they would be hoping to bridge the gap to Ferrari and Mercedes.
After a season full of reliability concerns with Renault, Red Bull are optimistic about their partnership with Honda.
A positive outing in Barcelona has provided them with hope for the new season, with Honda having worked extensively on delivery pace and reliability.
While this season is something that Red Bull can control currently, the 2021 rules is something that they currently have no real control over.

Red Bull threaten to leave F1
And Christian Horner has gone onto confirm that Red Bull could leave the sport altogether, if F1 decide to come up with regulations that don’t align with Red Bull’s idea of what the sport should look like.
Horner confirmed that despite being extremely passionate about F1, Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz could look elsewhere.
“Absolutely, and that’s his right,” Horner said.
“He’s passionate about motorsport, he’s passionate about F1, he’s enthusiastic about the new engine partnership with Honda and the potential that brings, but of course F1 has to deliver for the Red Bull brand as well.
“It needs to be exciting, it needs to be cost effective, the racing’s got to be great, and we need to be able to play on an equal and level playing field with OEM and manufacturer teams.
“I think like all of us, he’s waiting to see what is F1 post-2020.” he added.
It would be interesting to see how F1 tries to level the field from 2021, as promised by it in its proposal for the new regulations.
While midfield teams would want for the Ferrari-Mercedes dominance to end, the top 2 teams would want to keep their domination alive.
Interesting times ahead with respect to new regulations and team demands.
