Hardik Pandya emulates MS Dhoni’s Helicopter shot: MI’s all-rounder finished the innings brilliantly for his team.

During the 15th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at Mumbai, Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hardik Pandya emulated opposition captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s ‘Helicopter Shot’ to finish the innings in a much needed manner for MI.

Coming in to bat at No. 6 in the 17th over, Pandya displayed first signs of aggression on the first delivery of the penultimate over after he hit CSK pacer Shardul Thakur for a six on the leg-side.

After an impressive brisk start, Pandya attacked Chennai all-rounder Dwayne Bravo at will in the last over to accumulate 29 runs in the last over. After MI all-rounder Kieron Pollard hit Bravo for a six, Pandya made sure that he didn’t let the start go away in the 20th over.

On the fourth ball of the over, Pandya flew the helicopter as the ball went deep into the stands. On the following delivery, Pandya hit a smashing boundary through the off-side and followed it with a slice which also landed up in the stands.

Powering Indians to 170-5 in their allotted quota of 20 overs, Pandya ended up scoring 25* (8) with the help of one four and three sixes. Suryakumar Yadav, who came in to bat at No. 3, top-scored for MI scoring 59 (43) with the help of eight fours and a six.
