KKR Playing 11 today: The Sportsrush presents before you KKR’s Predicted Playing 11 for their 11th match of IPL 2019 vs RR.

When they started the season with a bang, very few would have expected KKR to be at the spot they are in spite of Russell’s deadly form. They have looked out of sorts especially with their bowling. They need to find some inspiration and have a fantastic run in the last few matches to have a chance to qualify for the playoffs.

KKR need to be smart with their approach and play in a united manner. They need to sort out their differences and play for the Purple and Gold crowd in Kolkata. The management should avoid taking any drastic steps though.

KKR Playing 11 today

Top-order

Chris Lynn has been inconsistent but has been looking to play responsibly which is lacking in most KKR players currently. Lynn would want to have another good night against RR like he did the last time he faced the Royals bowlers. Sunil Narine would want to once again tee off like he did in the previous match and give a very quick start.

Shubman Gill is getting opportunities at No. 3 now and he needs to make the best use of this. He can really make an impact considering his talent and show the world his talent and inspire KKR at the same time to believe in themselves.

Middle-order

Nitish Rana has looked good in a few matches but he needs to be more consistent. He should try and replicate the form he showed against RCB at the Eden Gardens a few days back where he scored over 80 runs in a thunderous manner.

Dinesh Karthik would want to take more responsibility and play a Captain’s knock when called upon to do so. He has to lead from the front and there are no 2 ways about it.

Andre Russell, the sole bright spark in the KKR line-up, needs to continue batting the way he has been. He needs to be brutal and a beast as usual if KKR are to have a chance. Rinku Singh played a good and responsible knock and is expected to maintain his spot in the team.

Bowlers

This has been the biggest concern for the Knight Riders. The bowlers of KKR forgot to show up with form in this IPL. Harry Gurney has been one of the sole bright sparks. He will be accompanied by Prithvi Raj Yarra who looked pretty good against SRH and managed to break Warner’s defence to bowl him out.

With a bit of luck, he would have got Bairstow’s wicket as well if his catch was taken. They will be joined by Russell to complete the pace bowling attack. Piyush Chawla has been decent but needs to be a wicket-taker like he has always been.

Kuldeep Yadav will be expected to make his way back into the team in place of Cariappa who was hit all around the park and was pathetic on the field. Sunil Narine has looked good and would want to contribute with a few wickets as well.
