Warriors Trade Rumors: GSW Looking to Reunite Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, Also Eying LeBron James
The NBA is in a frenzied state following a pair of blockbuster trades. First, the Mavericks shocked the world by trading superstar Luka Doncic to the Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis. Less than 24 hours later, the Kings sent De’Aaron Fox to the Spurs in a three-team deal. However, the league doesn’t seem to be stopping there. The Warriors look to load up on talent and have expressed interest in two of the biggest stars: Kevin Durant and LeBron James.
NBA insider Jake Fischer revealed key information that the Warriors are seeking to provide Stephen Curry with much-needed help. For many weeks, Golden State and the Chicago Bulls engaged in discussions for Zach Lavine and Nikola Vucevic. However, those talks stalled. That didn’t destroy the Warriors’ interest to make a deal, as they have explored the feasibility of reuniting Curry and Durant. Fischer said,
“Golden State continued to deliberate over the pursuit for Jimmy Butler and—wait for it—exploring the feasibility of reuniting Kevin Durant with Stephen Curry.”

Durant was a member of the Warriors from 2016-2019. During that time, he helped win two championships and solidify a dynasty. Golden State never wanted to lose Durant in the first place and is still eager to bring him back to the roster.
While the Warriors were calling the Suns, Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy decided to reach out to Rob Pelinka and the Lakers. Fischer reveals that Golden State is eager to bring James to San Francisco, but the likelihood is extremely low.
The Warriors have reportedly inquired about LeBron James, per @JakeLFischer

LeBron has a no-trade clause, which means he controls the fate of his future in the league. However, most importantly, he is happy with his situation in Los Angeles, especially with the opportunity to play with a talent at the level of Luka Doncic.
LeBron to the Warriors is a pipe dream
James is content with his situation with the Lakers. For one thing, at 40 years old, he likely doesn’t desire to move to a new city away from his family. At the very least, LeBron wants to see what it’s like to play alongside Doncic. Although they play similarly, having two of the smartest players in the league together is going to benefit the Lakers tremendously.
The Warriors are aware of LeBron’s current state but are still checking in to see if there is any way they can change the superstar’s mind. James and Curry tantalized the competition during their time together in the Olympics. They might be in the last stage of their careers but nonetheless, the duo would be dominant.
