Triple H: Watch ‘The Game’ respond to Cody Rhodes’ destroying his throne at Double or Nothing. The 14-time WWE champion responded to the act through a video posted on Twitter.
In the ring, Triple H went to war with long time friend and protégé, Randy Orton. Outside of it he continued a silent one with AEW’s executive vice president Cody Rhodes. Cody Rhodes along with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks bought a legitimate competition to the WWE in the form of AEW.

Triple fired the first shot by indirectly referring to the fledgling promotion as a ‘Pissant Company’ during DX’s Hall of Fame induction earlier this year. Cody’s response to the remark was one directed solely at Triple H.

The WWE announced the inclusion of Triple H in their Japanese tour later this month. The Game was featured in a video dropped on their WWE Japan Twitter Handle. In the video you can see Triple H reclaim his throne, supposedly the one that was symbolically and literally destroyed by Cody last month.
Is the WWE subtly acknowledging that a War is slowly brewing?
Well they’re not going to say that out loud, at least not at the moment. And to be perfectly honest, while the AEW has done really for a company that hasn’t had an episode out on TV yet, however they have a long way to go before they can begin to pose a threat to Vince McMahon’s corporation. It will be interesting to see how the two companies go about their business when AEW start their weekly show in October, later this year.
