The Nation league final was in a deadlock, as both the teams were unable to find the net for long. However, Portugal somehow broke the deadlock and gained a 1- lead in the second half of the Nations league finale.
Both the teams showed impeccable discipline in the defense, as both the teams’ goalkeeper denied their oppositions to find the net several times.
Thus, the first half of the match remained goalless. However, both the teams came out in great enthusiasm, in order to achieve the silverware, but Portugal capitalized the Oranjes in the battle.
It took nearly an hour for the Portugal to blast the ball inside the net, as before that they were denied several times by Jasper Cillessen.
Cillissen was having a great night until the Portuguese spoiled his party, as during a fast-pace attack, Portugal exposed the Dutch’s defense.
Bernardo Silva took the ball upfront, when he received the ball from the left-flank, then seeing Guedes getting inside, he cutted it back to the edge of the box from the left.
On the other hand, Guedes hits an absolute rocket, despite Cillessen getting a hand onto it, he was unable to stop the furious strike, as it squirms into the bottom corner.
Indeed, it was a strike to remember, and deservedly brought Portugal into the lead. As we enter into the last moments of the game, Portugal have to maintain the lead to win the European trophy.
