Ramsey leaving because of Ozil

Ramsey leaving because of Ozil: Various Arsenal fans believe that Aaron Ramsey is leaving Arsenal because of Mesut Ozil.

Aaron Ramsey’s contract situation has been a pain for Arsenal ever since the turn of 2018. With an improved contract for Mesut Ozil and the arrivals of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January, Arsenal have been reluctant in accepting Ramsey’s demands for a new contract.

BBC journalist David Ornstein reported on Thursday that talks between the club and Aaron Ramsey for a new contract have broken down.

The Welshman’s current contract at the club expires in 2019, and Ramsey is free to contact other clubs over a potential move from January 1 next year.

BBC reports that Aaron Ramsey is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with other clubs from January next year.

Many Arsenal fans now believe that Mesut Ozil is the reason behind Aaron Ramsey’s departure from the club.

Mesut Ozil signed a new contract with Arsenal this year, which saw a huge improve in his wages. The former German international earns 350,000 pounds/week under his new contract at Arsenal.

Various ‘Gunners’ fans have stated that such huge wages have set a precedent for other Arsenal players, and it is natural for them to be demanding such high amount.

Aaron Ramsey has been an Arsenal player for the last ten years and has been a key member of the club in the last seven years.

Here is how some of the fans have reacted:
