Bollywood star Aamir Khan and tennis legend Sania Mirza were present at the much anticipated ‘Indian Sports Honour Awards’ last night.

In a star studded show that was attended by the who’s who of the sports industry, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli was on display as he gave a rousing speech on why it is important to give back to the sport and why we should prioritize the future of sports in this country.
Tennis legend Sania Mirza was very quick to praise Virat as she believes that this country needs more people like him. She also mentioned that other sporting athletes need to take his cue and give back to the community.

“Virat is doing an amazing job. We all know, the amazing batsman he is and the amazing captain we have. But it’s really nice, as an athlete what he is trying to bring in sports and trying to give exposure to every other sport in our country,” she said.
Aamir Khan was also on hand to compliment Virat’s efforts to get more children involved in sports at a young age. He said that it is very important for other sporting heroes to do so, as they provide an added incentive for the kids to pick up sports.
“I think what Virat is doing and his entire effort to support to young sportsmen across the country is a wonderful idea.”
Actor Sidharth Malhotra also gave his opinion on Virat Kohli,
“Today, it’s a great thing that we are honouring all sports personalities for their contribution to the country. I have just come here to support them. While growing up, I used to play rugby, football and basketball so, I think a lot has to be done when it comes to sports. Today’s event makes it more important because they are supporting other sports apart from cricket. It’s a great initiative,” he said.
