Aaron Ramsey to Juventus: The Welshman has been heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal in the January transfer window.

Arsenal are currently 5th in the table. After a shaky few weeks in December, the side returned to winning ways in the new year with two successive wins in the league and the FA Cup.

However, the Aaron Ramsey transfer saga has been a concern for the Gunners. The talks between the club and the Welshman for a new contract broke down earlier this season, and Ramsey confirmed that he would leave Arsenal.

Juventus are among the frontrunners to secure a transfer, but various reports suggest that Ramsey may stay till the end of the season.

Arsenal’s head coach Unai Emery also informed after the side’s victory against Blackpool in the FA Cup that Ramsey could stay in January.

Aaron Ramsey to Juventus:

It has been reported by Italian media outlet Calciomercato that Juventus are aiming to complete a deal for Aaron Ramsey in the January transfer window.

And so, they have brought to the table an interesting swap deal for the Gunners, which include Sami Khedira.

The German international has made only nine appearances for Juventus across all competitions this season. Sami Khedira has expressed interest in playing in the Premier League in the past, and so, Juventus believe that a deal could be reached.

However, another Italian media outlet, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Arsenal are willing to make a swap, but not with Sami Khedira. The report suggests that Arsenal want Medhi Benatia, who has also been linked with a move to the London club.

Arsenal have had a poor defensive record this season. Unai Emery’s side has conceded the most number of goals in the Premier League top 5 so far. Multiple injury issues in their backline have further worsened their performances during the course of the season.

Medhi Benatia has also been struggling to find regular game time for Juventus. According to Calciomercato, however, Juventus are not inclined towards parting ways with the defender in the January transfer window.

The Morrocan defender joined Juventus in 2017 after spending a season on loan with the Italian side from Bayern Munich. He made 33 appearances for the club in the 2017/18 season, with fell out of favour with Massimiliano Allegri this year.
