Aaron Wan-Bissaka is due to undergo medical ahead of his £55 million move to Manchester United.
Manchester United have agreed a deal worth £55 million with Crystal Palace for Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The England Under-21 is set to undergo a medical earlier this week.
According to Goal, the full-back will fly out to Manchester United’s training setup for medical this week following England’s early exit from the Euro competition. Both clubs have come to a conclusion over $70 million deal for a summer transfer window move.
Wan-Bissaka, who played his first full season with the Eagles last season, turned up with consistent performances every week. He was one of the best full-backs, and could be ranked in the top ten defenders last campaign.
Right-back position has been a conundrum for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since his arrival. Ashley Young has been criticized for his subpar performances, whilst last year’s signing Diogo Dalot has never looked assured. This has forced the Norwegian to pursue a deal for the young Wan-Bissaka, who is currently with his nation for the Euro.
Since Roy Hodgson does not want his full-backs to bomb forward, he is not much adventurous in the final third. Although, he can find his feet in the defence by promising an abundance of interventions and tackles. It helps them form a solid defence, but Solskjaer wants to get his full-backs higher up the pitch.
There is no doubt about his stunning talent, which will play a helping hand in the defensive and attacking areas of the pitch for years to come at Old Trafford. The English International has made just 46 top-flight appearances for Crystal Palace over the last two campaigns.
He follows the young Daniel James – who completed a £15 million move from Swansea City earlier this month. James does not have a hefty price tag, but Wan-Bissaka has to meet the expectations because he is the costliest full-back ever.

What’s next?
The signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka will prove to be an upgrade for the Red Devils, who are slowly steadying the club under Solskjaer. He still wants a central midfielder and right winger.
