Leaving three players in his dust as he shimmied the ball fast them and worked his way past tight spaces, Eze embarked on a luscious run, one he rounded up with a clinical finish in the right hand corner of Guita’s goal.

The strike which came at the 6^th minute of added time at the end of the first half saw the home side race into a 2-0 lead. And the club perfectly safeguarded that lead come the second half to wrench out of a howler of a winless spree.

The win took Crystal Palace into 12^th place with the 22 points with the club safely sitting above the bottom three at the moment.

The result meanwhile left Sheffield United bereft of a win in the season to leave the side hammered down in bottom spot. The defeat leaves the club in a sorry position with Chris Wilder’s role at the club growing increasingly cumbersome as the club stares at impending relegation this season.
