AC Valhalla tops CoD Black Ops Cold War in opening week sales in United Kingdom. This week, a plethora of games have come out, main among them are CoD Black Ops Cold War & AC Valhalla. Latest reports suggest that Valhalla has taken over Black Ops Cold War in the opening week sales in UK.
This week is rather busy for gamers. Not only are new games coming out, but the Xbox Series X & S are also released. Inherently, this means that players are going to have to choose which games they will spend their time on.
Two of the best games which have come out are Assassins Creed Valhalla and CoD Black Ops Cold War. They are completely different in genres and even gameplay.
So, Ubisoft put out a post stating that Valhalla is getting good responses, as it had twice the many players on launch day as Assassins Creed Odyssey. Historically, Call of Duty also has immense success on the day of release, but this time, it seems things are changing.
AC Valhalla tops Black Ops Cold War
According to GamesIndustry’s Head of Games B2B Christopher Dring, Assassins Creed has managed to pull off an impressive feat. Dring, who has access to the GfK Chart-Track data, took to Twitter to reveal some incredible news.
For the first time in about 80 years, Call of Duty is not No.1 in the UK physical charts during the week it came out… in a major week for game sales, Assassin’s Creed is the biggest boxed game

He also believes that this is due to AC Valhalla doing extremely well, rather than some failure on the part of Black Ops Cold War.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla launched on Tuesday, November 10th Black Ops Cold War only launched on Friday, November 13th. Also, these figures are only relative to physical sales, too, which are only a portion of the total these days.
