The new ball, which will only be used in the group stage of the competition has a striking design. The ball still has the customary theme ahead of the new season. The star shaped panels are present in the ball but this time, they are larger and have solid white and bold black outlines.

The ball also has a multi-coloured design between the stars; a mixture of blue, fluorescent and orange to give it a distinguished look. the texture of the ball is seamless and thermally bonded, which should help players during the group stages. This design helps to increase accuracy – giving a truer touch when receiving a pass.

The ball also has a low water uptake and textured surface which further helps to optimise performance. The ball will only be in action for the group stages though. Adidas will unveil a new ball for the Knock Out stages next year.

The 2019 UEFA Champions League group stage official match ball is available for purchase on Adidas’ official website.

The ball will be debuted tonight in the Inter Milan vs Slavia Praha match and Lyon vs Zenit match, which are scheduled to start at the same time. The matches after the double opener are all firecrackers with Chelsea taking on Valencia, Liverpool touring Napoli and Barcelona fighting it out with Borussia Dortmund to make for an explosive first night in the Champions League.

This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
