Arsenal Transfer News: Unai Emery takes huge stride towards signing Real Madrid midfielder

Arsenal are closing in on Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid in a loan deal.

Arsenal are poised to sign Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid in a loan deal. The Spanish midfielder has been told to find a new club on a temporary basis.

The former Real Betis midfielder was one of the best performers in the Under-21 World Cup, leading them to the triumph by orchestrating the midfield department. Many sides including Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and AC Milan were keen to sign him.

However, the Spanish publication AS reports that the Gunners have won the race to sign the 22-year-old midfielder from Real Madrid in a one-year loan deal. Since the Los Blancos are not willing to sell him, whereas Arsenal are looking for loan deals to improve their midfield, the loan deal seems to an ideal match for both the clubs.

The Los Blancos are hoping to trim their squad and are looking to sell at least five players before the end of the transfer window. Along with Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, and Isco or Marco Asensio, Dani Ceballos has been tipped to leave Santiago Bernabeu this summer, who started just 19 games last season.

Since the midfield is already stacked, Zidane wants him to play elsewhere regularly. On the other hand, Arsenal are yet to replace the outgoing Aaron Ramsey at the club. The Welsh and Spanish share common traits, and a move for Dani Ceballos should upgrade the midfield department.

Unai Emery is eyeing a left-winger and wants Wilfried Zaha, but the transfer fee is the hurdle. Crystal Palace are demanding £80 million, whilst the Gunners have been able to submit only half of that value. Besides, a £25 million bid for Kieran Tierney was turned down by Celtic due to the structure of the deal.

Here’s how Twitter has reacted..

What’s next?

Both Arsenal and Real Madrid will get profited should the loan deal for Dani Ceballos go through without any hitch.
