Jim Cornette blasts Tony Khan over promo on AEW Dark Elevation

Jim Cornette blasts Tony Khan over promo on AEW Dark: Elevation. The AEW President recently appeared on the debut of their new YouTube show.

Kenny Omega was at his obnoxious self this week on AEW Dark: Elevation against Matt Sydal. So much so, that Tony Khan had to come out and ensure Sydal would have a fair shot against the Cleaner. Should Sydal win, the AEW Champion will have to defend his title in a rematch.

The promo from Tony Khan however, was far from perfect. Unfortunately for him, that was all the spark Jim Cornette needed to thrash the AEW president on his The Jim Cornette Experience podcast. Cornette did not hold back as he teared him down unapologetically.

Jim Cornette blasts Tony Khan over promo on AEW Dark: Elevation

“Oh Tony Khan’s done a promo! What in the wide world of sports was that? Is it on their YouTube show?”

“It’s Twinkle Toes [Omega] and Matt Sydal have done something and here comes Tony Khan looking like a disheveled coked-up school teacher who’s at his wit’s end about his unruly class. He said a lot of words in a short period of time including the phrase ‘nine days from tonight’ about sixteen times and he made a match. So now he’s the on-camera commissioner. Is this I guess where it is going?”

“He was having a nervous breakdown. It was like a fan got the opportunity to do what he had always dreamed of doing on national television and he freaked out and he was having a nervous breakdown trying to do it. That is what it looked like. Oh, did I just describe what it was? I’m sorry.”

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
