Alexis Sanchez injury update: Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provides an update on Sanchez’s injury.
Manchester United secureda victory in their FA Cup third round clash against Reading earlier this evening.
Two first-half goals from Juan Mata and Alexis Sanchez ensured a win on the evening, as United proceeded to the fourth round in the tournament.
However, Manchester United fans received a setback during the game after Alexis Sanchez limped off the field. It was earlier reported that Alexis Sanchez has been injured again.
The Chilean returned to the team only this week, as he made a comeback against Newcastle United in the mid-week game. He provided an assist to Rashford in the game, and was influential in United’s second goal as he found Lukaku with a brilliant pass in the first half.
Manchester United’s manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now provided an update on Alexis Sanchez’s injury.
Alexis Sanchez injury update:
Solskjaer stated that the Chilean attacker was tired and was subbed off. However, he stated that the extent of the concern isn’t known yet.
“I think he will be okay, he was tired. Hopefully it is not a bad reaction. We shall see,” Solskjaer said when asked about Sanchez.

Sanchez was brilliant . You can say it’s just reading but the awareness and quality to pick up Romelu Lukaku has nothing to do with the quality of the opposition

He also talked about the game, and made an honest assessment of the match. Solskjaer insisted that the side needs to work on fitness, but admitted that he made many changes which had an affect on the performance.
“We are delighted we are through. I made it tough for us, when you make nine changes it is never easy, but I am delighted we are into the next round.
We learned a lot, but we know we need some fitness work, we need to work on relations. I put a team together which had never played together and we are through.”
Delicious pass from Sánchez. Two assists in two appearances under Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Good run from Lukaku and finish. Not a great performance but still find themselves 2-0 up. Could be worse!

Lovely goal. What a pass from Sanchez and well taken by Lukaku. That’s what we want to see from both of them. Sanchez looking up early and Lukaku making those runs in the channels. Just a good goal to watch. Nicely done.

Solskjaer informed that the side will fly off to Dubai where the team will work in warm-weather training sessions.
“If that performance is repeated at Wembley we’re not going to have a clean sheet or the points. So we fly off to Dubai for a few days hard work,” said Solskjaer after the win.
