Ambati Rayudu Birthday: Harbhajan Singh takes sly dig in his birthday wish for Rayudu

Ambati Rayudu Birthday: Legendary Indian off-spinner took to his Twitter account to wish the Hyderabadi batsman on his birthday.

India batsman Ambati Rayudu remained in the news throughout the summer primarily because of him not getting selected in the Indian team for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 followed by him announcing retirement from all forms of cricket.

Soon enough, Rayudu reconsidered his decision to come out of retirement. The right-hand batsman has been named as the captain of Hyderabad for the imminent Vijay Hazare Trophy. Currently with Chennai Super Kings, Rayudu will also play in IPL 2020.

Having turned 34 years old today, Rayudu has been receiving birthday wishes from both cricketers and fans since morning. Among one of those birthday wishes was from veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh who referred to Rayudu as an “angry young man”.

It is worth mentioning that Harbhajan and Rayudu share some history together as they were involved in an on-field brawl when they were playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2016 against Rising Pune Supergiant. It had happened after Harbhajan was unhappy with Rayudu’s fielding effort at the boundary which saw the former concede a boundary.

Having expressed his displeasure then and there, Harbhajan was quick enough to apologise on the ground itself. However, it was Rayudu who gave the impression of walking away from the off-spinner. The duo had later apologized to each other in an interview.
