Anthony Davis to Lakers

Anthony Davis is set to become a free agent in 2021 and will have a massive decision to make with respect to his NBA future.

Davis currently plies his trade with the Pelicans and while he could extend his contract there as well, a lot of NBA franchises are lining up to secure the services of the big man.

According to multiple reports, Anthony Davis is considering a move to LA Lakers in 2021 in a bid to join forces with LeBron James.

New York Knicks, Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers are also on his radar, but a move to Lakers is the most tempting, considering the history of the franchise and the prospect of teaming up with LeBron James.

There is a slight problem though about the move to Lakers, as in 2021, LeBron would be 37 and wouldn’t have too much time left in the NBA.

Davis would only be 28 at that moment and will have a lot of time on his hand. He would have to sort out what his motivation to move to Lakers would be.

If he is looking for a couple of years with LeBron and then transitioning into the leader of Lakers, he should try and force the move.

Else, reports state that Boston Celtics could be a good second option for Davis.

Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward and Jayson Tatum form a good core for Boston Celtics. Add Anthony Davis to that and you have a championship ready team.

Kyrie has reportedly already spoken to Anthony Davis about joining the Celtics.

What do you think Davis would do?
