Anthony Martial goal Vs Tranmere Rovers: Manchester United striker scores curling goal in ruthless drubbing

Anthony Martial goal Vs Tranmer Rovers: Manchester United striker scores curling goal against League one side in an absolute drubbing.

Manchester United is toying with League One side Tranmere Rovers in the fourth round fixture of the FA Cup. In the first half, only the Red Devils registered five goals.

Shockingly, the goals were scored by Harry Maguire, Diogo Dalot, Jesse Lingard and Phil Jones. None of the frontline players scored a goal until Anthony Martial stepped in.

The French International was found by Luke Shaw, from here Martial approached of the box ominously before whipping a curling shot, which directly landed inside the goal, securing the 5th goal for Manchester United.

Watch the goal

There have hardly been any gaps in the game when Manchester United has stopped scoring. The first 3 goals were scored in the quick succession of 5 minutes. Then in the 41st minute of the game, Jones headed the ball inside the goal from a corner by Andreas Pereira.

Then, it took Martial only a 3-minute gap to claim his name in the score-sheet of the game. With this, Manchester United eased up their approach in the game as the win for Ole Solskaer’s men is confirmed.

The Manchester United manager then subbed off Martial and brought on Tahith Chong. Even Nemanja Matic was subbed off to bring Fred onto the pitch.

Soon into the second half, even Mason Greenwood opened his tally by scoring from the penalty after Chong was fouled inside the 18-yard box in the game buildup.

Tranmere could not even show a fight to the Red Devils, as they soon succumbed to the constant scoring by Manchester United. But considering the vast difference in the quality of the teams, this was expectable.
