Antonio Conte is furious with the Chelsea board
Haven’t Chelsea strengthened enough? From the outside, it looks as if Conte has managed to successfully improve his squad from last year.
The additions of Bakayoko and Morata are direct replacements for Matic and Costa respectively, while the additions of Rudiger and Willy Caballero have added depth to their squad.
But Antonio Conte is still not a happy man.
Many people were wondering why Matic was sold to a direct rival in Manchester United. When asked about this in a press conference, Conte was visibly irate and asked the reporter to speak to the club directly about that.
It has been an interesting summer for the Italian coach. In spite of winning the league and losing out in the final of the FA Cup, Conte was reportedly considering his future at the club.
Although he signed a more lucrative two-year contract at the club, Conte was not happy with the board’s reluctance to spend big this summer. He publicly challenged the board to give him funds in order to strengthen his squad for this season.

And now he seems as if he is not happy with the players that are being sold either.
When asked about the Matic deal,
“You will have to ask the club about this.
“We have a very small squad and it’s very important to improve the numerical aspect.
“One new player will not be enough. We need more players.
“It’s important that the club knows my opinion and they are trying to do the best for our team.
“But now we have to wait.”
