Eden Hazard chooses one El Classico rival over the other

Now that Neymar has officially completed his move to PSG, Barcelona will look to find a replacement for the departed Brazilian.

The Barcelona board have drawn up a small list of replacements have been drawn up by the club. The likes of Coutinho, Dembele and Dybala are the three most likely candidates to replace Neymar.

But a new name has now joined the fray.

Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has often said how he would one day love to play for Real Madrid. While Madrid have shown interest in the past, Chelsea did not receive any concrete offer from the Spanish giants.

There was feeling that if Madrid had put in a huge bid for the Belgian this summer, Chelsea might have considered letting him go. But nothing of that sort has happened yet, which is why the Hazard to Real links have died down.

But now, Real’s Classico rivals have stepped up their interest in Chelsea’s talisman. Hazard has been instrumental in the last two Premier league triumphs for the London outfit, and he may feel that it is time to leave for new pastures.

Privately, Barcelona feel that Chelsea will be wiling to do business if the price it right. With the Neymar transfer expected to give Barcelona close to 200 million, money should not become an issue for the Catalans.

And now we have learnt that Hazard has snubbed Real Madrid and made himself available to Barcelona. With Madrid going after Mbappe, Hazard realizes that he has a good chance to get his move to Barcelona.

Hazard knows that he is no longer a priority for Real, which is why he has made a bold and swift decision about his future.
