Arsenal defence caught napping by quick free kick as Danny Ings fires to give Southampton the lead during their Premier League encounter.
Between the last two international breaks, Arsenal failed to register a single victory in the Premier League. They came back from the previous break with a loss and left for the most recent one with a loss while registering two draws in between.
Fans have turned their backs on the club and a strong result tonight will work wonders towards Unai Emery’s cause. However, their match against Southampton at the Emirates got off to the worst start possible.
Arsenal defence caught napping by quick free kick as Danny Ings fires to give Southampton the lead
Arsenal’s Callum Chambers was penalised for a foul very close to Arsenal’s box. Southampton took their free kick very quickly and Danny Ings took advantage of an unaware defence and placed the ball to Leno’s right. The ball then ricocheted off the near post and into the goal.

The worst possible start possible for the Gunners.
However, Arsenal managed to pull the game back 10 minutes later. Kieran Tierney placed the ball in the penalty box to find Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang. The forward got the ball down and shot it only to hit Bertrand on the chest. While Arsenal were appealing for a handball, the ball landed on Lacazette’s feet who finished what Tierney and Aubameyang started.
At the time of writing, 30 minutes have passed in the match with the score tied 1-1. Arsenal will hope to resume their campaign with a win. Southampton on the other hand, will hope to bring an end to their 3-match losing streak.
