Arsenal goal vs Leicester: Mesut Ozil oozes class as Arsenal extend their lead against Leicester.

Arsenal’s third goal against Leicester could well be a fitting birthday gift for their former manager, Arsene Wenger. It was aesthetic football, with Mesut Ozil oozing class, as Arsenal reminisced the days of their French manager against Leicester at Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal scored the third goal of the match, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bagged his second of the night. But the goal was all about the football which preceded it, and a large part of it belongs to delightful football from Mesut Ozil in making the move.

Leicester scored the first goal of the match through an unfortunate own goal from Hector Bellerin, but Mesut Ozil equalized at the end of the first half.

Aubameyang gave Arsenal the lead minutes after being substituted on the pitch.

Arsenal goal vs Leicester:

Hector Bellerin’s pass was initially aimed at Mesut Ozil, but Ozil deliberately skipped the ball for Alexandre Lacazette. The forward aimed the pass ahead for Ozil, who simply crossed it with a delicate touch for Aubameyang to bury the ball in an open goal.

It was football at its best, and football which reminded the Arsenal fans of the days of Wenger.

The Arsenal fans were justifiably pleased with the goal, and lauded Mesut Ozil.
