Arsenal's expected lineup vs Vorlska

TheSportsRush brings Arsenal’s expected lineup vs Vorlska as they begin their Europa League campaign under Unai Emery.

Arsenal are back to Europa League action on Thursday night after a third successive Premier League win at Newcastle. The Gunners will host Ukrainian outfit Volska Poltava at the Emirates Stadium in a bid to outperform themselves from last year’s Europa League campaign. Unai Emery is an expert of the competition and will be looking to assert his authority like he did at Sevilla. Let’s take a look at the potential lineup that the Spaniard might field.

DEFENCE

Bernd Leno could finally get his long awaited competitive debut at the Emirates Stadium in the Europa League. The German could be playing behind a reshuffled defence that is likely to consist of Konstantinos Mavropanos and Rob Holding. Lack of options at left back are set to see Nacho Monreal feature again, while Stephan Lichtsteiner could start over Hector Bellerin at right back.

MIDFIELD

Aaron Ramsey has been sort of a conductor for Arsenal through his exploits in the middle of the park and the Welshman has been serving the club well in spite of contract issues. He is looking ready for another start. Meanwhile, Lucas Torreira has had an instant impact since coming on as a substitute in several matches and garnered praise. The match against Poltava could be his opportunity to feature from the first whistle, while Matteo Guendouzi could keep his place.

ATTACK

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been overlooked during the last two matches in the Premier League and all signals point towards the Armenian starting versus Volka Poltava on the left wing. The former Manchester United playmaker could be supplying the balls to Danny Welbeck who is a strong contender to play as the striker. There seems to no rest on the cards for Mesut Ozil, with the German looking like a hot candidate to play on the right wing just days after his goal versus Newcastle.
