Man Utd’s Eric Bailly picked up an injury during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda and now faces the race to be fit for Barcelona game.

Manchester United faced a huge injury crisis during February, when the side lost 10 first-team stars ahead of the second leg against PSG in the Champions League.

The side lost all of the three first-choice midfielders in Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba for the game. Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard were also two major absences in the attack.

While the defence was largely in full strength for Solskjaer, the Norwegian suffered a big setback earlier today.

Eric Bailly suffered an injury during the international break against Rwanda, now faces a race against time to be fit for the Champions League showdown against Barcelona.

Eric Bailly injury:

The Manchester United centre-back was involved in a nasty collision during the African Cup of Nations qualifier game against Rwanda.

Eric Bailly was able to walk off the pitch as he was substituted, however.

Many of Manchester United players either withdrew or faced injury with national camps during the international break.

Nemanja Matic, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw were among the ones who withdrew from their respective international squads. France’s Anthony Martial also chose to stay behind after he had just recovered from injury.

Marcus Rashford returned from England’s training camp after it was confirmed that he has also been feared injured.

Manchester United are currently fifth in the Premier League and faced two back-to-back setbacks earlier this month.

The side lost to Arsenal in the Premier League game and was knocked out of the FA Cup in the quarterfinals, as Wolverhampton Wanderers defeated them 2-1.

The upcoming month would be key to Manchester United’s season, as the side faces an intense race for the top four, as well as the Champions League, where they take on Barcelona in the quarterfinal on April 10.
