Arsenal injury update: Two Arsenal players are set to return this month, as Unai Emery’s side aim to maintain their winning run.

Arsenal has been in sublime form this season. After losing the two opening Premier League games to Man City and Chelsea, the Gunners are yet to drop points in the league. Unai Emery’s side currently sits at 4th in the league, with only two points behind league leaders Manchester City.

The Gunners are also on a nine-match winning streak in all competitions, which include a win in their first round of Carabao Cup over lower-league side Brentford, and two Europa League group matches.

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have found their goal-scoring boots, as both scored a brace in their last match against Fulham this weekend. Arsenal thumped the newly-promoted side 5-1 at Craven Cottage to take a lead over Tottenham in the table.

Arsenal has also released their latest injury update, and Gunners’ fans have further good news.

Arsenal injury update:

While Petr Cech will take another 3-4 week to return to training, Arsenal receives a boost with the return of a first-team starter.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who suffered a knock in Arsenal’s very first match of the season against Manchester City, is set to return to training next week. However, it is highly unlikely that he will feature in the match against Leicester City.

Konstantinos Mavropanos is also recovering well and will return to full training by the end of the month. The defender is yet to make an appearance this season, owing to a groin strain. The club captain, Laurent Koscielny will return to full training in November.

The French defender is currently working on rehabilitation.

Mesut Ozil also returned to training after missing the match against Fulham last weekend. The German announced his retirement from international football after the World Cup, and hence, is not playing during the break.

Ozil is expected to be in contention for the match against Leicester City in the Premier League.
