Arsenal look all set to bid for Spanish midfielder, Isco, in the summer according to many leading newspapers in the U.K.

Arsenal will have to fight off competition from fellow Premier League sides Manchester United and Manchester City to land the talented midfielder.

It has been a tough season for Arsenal and they have left no stone unturned to strengthen their squad for the next season. After a busy January transfer window with high profile acquisitions like Mkhitaryan from United and Aubameyang from Dortmund, Arsenal have now turned their attention towards Isco.

They’re expected to make Isco their number one target in the summer transfer window and are monitoring his position at Real Madrid very closely.

Various reports from the Spanish capital suggest that Isco is unhappy at Real Madrid after a falling out with club captain Sergio Ramos. He might very well be on his way to Arsenal according to the bookies.

The bookies have slashed the odds to 5/9 for Isco to make a switch to the Emirates. With quite a few departures (Wilshere, Ramsey) expected from North London, the signing of Isco might prove to be crucial Arsenal next season.

Isco has been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past too but those reports never materialized into anything substantial. However this time around the unsettled Madrid star is looking for suitors and Arsenal would be a perfect destination.

The prospect of Isco playing his football at the Emirates next season looks strong this time around unlike a couple of years ago when an Arsenal bid for Isco was rejected by Real Madrid.

The price tag is set to be around £75 million but that shouldn’t be a problem as the Arsenal board ha shown a willingness to shell out huge cash for quality players recently.

However Arsenal will have to be on their toes with the two Manchester clubs also reported to be interested in the Spanish midfielder. One only wonders with these big money signings of established players, are Arsenal preparing themselves for a post Wenger era?
