Arsenal News: Gunners plan new contract offer for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang

Arsenal are planning to hand over a new contract to Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. 

Arsenal have plotted their next move to keep the current lot, which has blown hot and cold under Unai Emery. However, the top scorer Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has done no harm to his reputation by scoring goals for fun.

The Gabonese International shared the golden boot with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the last Premier League campaign, thereby stamping his authority in the league. This has forced the Gunners to make a move – who are plotting to offer him a new contract, according to the Telegraph.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker, who is the club’s second-highest earner after Mesut Ozil, is currently on 200,000 per week. Since the reigning Europa League runners-up are struggling to offload the German, a considerable pay rise with tons of incentives is likely to be offered and believed to be adept by Head of football Raul Sanllehi.

The objectives include the qualification to the Champions League – a competition which has been missing in the Emirates Stadium for the last three years. Since Aubameyang’s contract ends in 2021, there’s growing optimism from both the parties that an agreement can be reached in the coming weeks.

Arsenal are aware that the player was wanted by a host of clubs in the summer window – forcing their hand to hand over a new contract before it’s too late. The Arsenal striker has also received assurances from Unai Emery over his position and playing time in the upcoming season. It is clear to witness that he’s part of the Spaniard’s building project in the Emirates Stadium.

Sanllehi has been hailed for his transfer this summer. The London club managed to sign Nicolas Pepe, Kieran Tierney, Dani Ceballos, and David Luiz to strengthen their team and in a bid to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in four years.
