Mohamed Salah is having a fairy tale season at Liverpool, as the Egyptian attacker has already notched up 37 goals, as we head towards the end of the season.
After a lackluster season with Chelsea a couple of years back, Salah’s has returned and taken the Premier League by storm, scoring 29 goals in just 31 appearances.
The attacker has taken up the mantle left by Coutinho and spearheaded his side’s race to be in the top four, much to the delight of Jurgen Klopp and fellow Liverpool fans.
Salah’s brilliance has extended in to Europe, as he already has six goals in eight UEFA Champions League appearances this season.
His 10 assists in the league prove that he is a team player, and along with Firmino and Mane have formed the most deadly trio in England and maybe even Europe.
With a mouth-watering quarter-final tie with Manchester City to look forward to, Salah would be chomping at the bit to show his brilliance on an even larger stage.
While Liverpool fans will be overjoyed by Salah this year, they can’t help but feel a little apprehensive, as they fear the Egyptian’s success may pique the interest of the biggest clubs in the world.
Real Madrid and Barcelona have already made it clear that they value Salah, and could very well bid for the Liverpool star in the summer.
While Real Madrid seem favourites to land Salah, Liverpool and Klopp would much rather sell the star player to the Catalans in exchange for Ousmane Dembele.
While ideally Liverpool would want to hold on to their newest superstar, Klopp is preparing for the worst possible outcome. The German would personally loathe selling Salah just six months after they were bullied into selling Coutinho to Barcelona.
But as it is true for pretty much every club in the world, when Real Madrid or Barcelona come calling, there is only one possible ending.
