Arsenal Transfer News Gunners stars says yes to Barcelona transfer

Arsenal Transfer News: Gunners stars says yes to Barcelona transfer. The transfer could very likely take place this January.

Arsenal are no where near where they would have wanted to be at the start of the season. However, with 14 matches still left in the league, Arsenal can still end up in the top 6 or even top 4 as only 10 points separate them from Chelsea.

The side are also competing in the Europa League and can qualify to the Champions League through that competition. Under Mikel Arteta, the side have shown signs of improvement. However, the club’s chances going forward may nose dive with the club on the verge of losing their biggest star.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gives his ‘Ok’ to Barcelona

According to Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal Captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has told Barcelona that he is willing to join them. The Spanish Club, who recently lost Luis Suarez to a long term injury, are in the market for a striker.

The report from Spain adds that the transfer will depend on Aubameyang’s ability to force Arsenal’s hand. It is unlikely that Mikel Arteta will allow his best player to leave the club mid season. The move could therefore, transpire in the summer. However, with Barcelona looking to put an end to their Champions league jinx, the club will want to make a move this month itself.

Aubameyang will enter the final year of his contract at North London this summer. Arsenal run a very possible risk of losing him out on a free if he refuses to put pen on paper. The Gunners will be considering all their options before taking a final call.

Aubameyang, recently stressed his commitment to the club when he claimed that he was desperate to help the side get to the top. However, with Barcelona looming around, the commitment will now be put to the test.
