Arsenal Transfer News: Mikel Arteta wants to bring in €50m rated playmaker this January in a bid to strengthen his side.
Arsenal started 2020 with a convincing 2-0 win over Manchester United at the Emirates. The side have already begun improving under Mikel Arteta. However, they will be looking to add to the club in order to secure an automatic spot in the Europe next season.

According to Italian outlet, Calciomercato, Arsenal are intrested in bringing in Ajax playmaker, Hakim Ziyech and the Dutch Champions are open to selling as long as they’re financial demands of €50m are met.
However, per Dutch outlet Voetbal, London rivals Tottenham are also interested in the winger. What could go in Arsenal’s favour though, is the fact that Ziyech revealed last year that Barcelona and Arsenal were the two teams he dreamed to play for.
Ziyech: “Which club would you like to go to in the future?”
Kluivert: “Thats a good question, I like English football but my ultimate dream would be barca. And your ultimate dream?”
Ziyech: “Well I have two clubs those are ARSENAL and Barcelona. Those are my ultimate dream.” pic.twitter.com/KezfGz6m8U

Hakim Ziyech the rising star!
Hakim Ziyech’s stock rose last season when Ajax played out of its skin to script a fairy tale run in the Champions League that saw them eliminate Real Madrid and Juventus before losing to Tottenham in the very last minute of the match.
In the summer, Ajax director of football, Marc Overmars confirmed that Ziyech would be allowed to leave.
“He leaves when a top club comes. He is in focus because of his achievements in the Champions League,” the former Arsenal winger said.
“Many big clubs are buzzing around him. We promised Hakim [that we would] agree to a good transfer.”
Unfortunately for the winger, while his teammates, Frenkie De Jong and Matthijs De Ligt moved on to Barcelona and Juventus, the Ajax mainstay was not pursued by any club. However, it seems that this January may see the right winger depart Netherlands.
