Arsenal Transfer News: Nicolas Pepe is in London to complete his £72 million move to Arsenal

Arsenal Transfer News: Nicolas Pepe is in London to complete his £72 million move to Arsenal as reports of his medical are being circulated.

Arsenal are getting closer to hire the services of Nicolas Pepe from Lille, after the French club agreed the offer made by the North London club amidst tight competition.

In further events, according to a report by David Ornstein, Pepe is in London to complete his move to Arsenal, and the North London club is set to announce the move.

“Arsenal are on course to confirm the €80m club-record signing of Ivory Coast international Nicolas Pepe from Lille later this week,” Ornstein reported.

“The 24-year-old winger/forward has arrived in London and will undergo a medical today before signing a five-year contract at the Emirates.”

The reporter confirmed that the personal terms between both the clubs have been agreed, and the 24-year-old superstar will sign a five-year contract with Arsenal.

The signing of the Ivorian International will certainly bolster the attacking option in Arsenal, who faced a humiliating campaign in the Premier league after finishing fifth, and also failed to qualify for the next edition of the Champions league.

However, with Pepe joining the Gunners, it surely gives some positive signs ahead, as the North London also have other targets to strengthen the squad this summer.

Arsenal had a slim budget to spend this summer, but their desire to land Pepe made them push further. The English giants will reportedly pay his transfer fee in installments.

With this signing getting close, Arsenal fans are excited to see Pepe being paired up with Pierre-Emrick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in the following season.
