Arsenal transfer news: Arsenal are reportedly set to sell Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to generate funds for the summer transfer window.

Arsenal are currently at fourth in the Premier League table.

The side made an emphatic comeback into the top four of the league after securing a 2-0 win over Manchester United in the league earlier this month.

However, Arsenal fans are dealt with a blow as we enter the business end of the season.

It has been reported that Arsenal’s two stars, Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be set to leave the side in the summer transfer window.

Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to leave?

English outlet Daily Mirror has reported that Arsenal might part ways with Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the summer to generate funds for summer transfers.

Aaron Ramsey has already agreed on a transfer to Italian giants Juventus for the summer, after the Welshman failed to agree to a new contract with the club.

It has been reported that Arsenal are concerned with the wages of the two stars at the club.

Arsenal are reportedly in the transfer market for a left winger, a left-back, a centre-back and an attacking midfielder. There were speculations that Arsenal’s transfer budget would be low in the summer, and the management has thus made up its mind to sell the two players.

Mesut Ozil has been inconsistent in this season so far, and Unai Emery dropped him from the starting XI in November. The midfielder has since been in and out of the playing XI. He made a start against Manchester United earlier this month, however, and was impressive.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, meanwhile, has been inconsistent since his move to Arsenal in a swap deal with Alexis Sanchez.

He remained injured for nearly two months with metatarsal fracture, making 13 Premier League starts so far. He was not in the squad against Manchester United.
