Arsenal transfer news: There have been significant transfer links surrounding Arsenal in the January transfer window.
Arsenal are currently 5th in the Premier League table. After an impressive few months at the beginning of the season, Arsenal suffered a dip in form in December, and currently stand three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
In the January transfer window, Arsenal are heavily linked with the signing of Barcelona’s Denis Suarez. In the post-match conference after their 3-0 win to Blackpool, head coach Unai Emery didn’t rule out the possibility of the transfer, and also suggested the positions where might play for Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Arsenal also fear a significant departure from the club in Aaron Ramsey. The talks for a new contract broke down between Ramsey and the club last year, and the Welshman is increasingly piped for Juventus move.
However, another Arsenal midfielder is rumored to leave the side – Mesut Ozil. After a good start to the season, Ozil struggled with injuries and eventually lost a place in the starting XI in December.
Arsenal transfer news:
English media outlet the Evening Standard has now reported that Arsenal will review the future of Mesut Ozil at the end of the season, and that the former German international will stay through the January transfer window.

Ozil has previously stated that he wants to end his career at Arsenal. However, a significant lack of game time has led to speculations surrounding his place in the side.
The midfielder’s agent, Dr Erkut Sogut said last week that the midfielder is “100 per cent committed” to Arsenal, and is even open to extending his contract.
The player signed a new contract at Arsenal in January 2017, which made him the highest paid player at the club. He earns 350,000 pounds per week.

Emery has welcomed Ozil’s desire to fight for his place and it is understood the relationship between the pair has not yet significantly deteriorated despite a difference in opinion over his worth to the team.

Ozil told this newspaper in November that he wanted to stay at #afc for the long-term and nothing has changed since. Emery has been encouraged by his willingness to fight for first-team football and the situation will be reviewed by both player and club at the end of the season. https://t.co/PUh61VJfoG

It was also reported that Ozil had rejected a staggering 1m pounds/week offers from China to stay at Arsenal. Standard reports that the offers could return if Ozil’s situation at Arsenal gets complicated.
