Arsenal Transfer News: Unai Emery eyes Premier League star as first signing of summer transfer window beckons

Arsenal Transfer News: Arsenal are eyeing a potential deal for Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser.

Arsenal are trying to ameliorate some positions in the summer transfer window by luring in suitable players. In the middle of that, Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser has been observed as a potential transfer target.

The Scottish International has denied signing a new contract with the Cherries, which expires in 2020. The 25-year-old has been an integral player for Eddie Howe this term, assisting 14 times in the Premier League alone, just behind the Chelsea winger Eden Hazard.

Arsenal are currently gazing at Ryan Fraser, but they are anticipated to step up their interest once the Europa League finals conclude, according to the Independent. Since the negotiations have stalled currently, Bournemouth will try everything to keep him or get the required amount from the suitor.

The fee is believed to be in the region of £30 million, particularly as Fraser’s previous club Aberdeen are owed 20% of his transfer fees. That transfer amount should not be a problem for the Gunners, who are likely to secure his services despite interest from Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp has an inclination in the prospect of moving for Ryan Fraser, but the Scottish International is wanting full game time which would be guaranteed at Arsenal. Liverpool have Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in the wings and it is far from likely to for a big-money signing in a similar position.

On the other hand, Arsenal have only Alex Iwobi to play through the left flank. The Nigerian and Fraser will be told to compete for a spot in the starting lineup next season as Unai Emery has slowly tinkered his formation by having both Aubameyang and Lacazette up front. Either he plays behind those two or through the wing depends on Unai Emery, but he is more than useful through the middle as well.

Earlier this season Fraser admitted to being flattered by the interest being shown in him from Arsenal, describing Emery’s side as “a massive club”.

“I am not going to lie, it is very nice,” Fraser replied in April when asked about being linked with Arsenal. “It means you are doing something right. They are a huge club, a massive club.

“When you see your name thrown around you always think to yourself that you are a Bournemouth player and you try to do well.

“I am not going to lie, you do feel good, especially when it’s a massive club.”
