Arsenal Transfer News: Unai Emery takes decision on Hakim Ziyech after Palace snub for Wilfried Zaha

Unai Emery has decided not to pursuit Hakim Ziyech despite Crystal Palace’s snub for Wilfried Zaha.

Arsenal have decided against pursuing Hakim Ziyech despite player’s entourage to join them in the summer window. The Moroccan has been linked with a majority of European clubs, including Arsenal.

Even, the right-winger once said about his admiration of Mesut Ozil and that he would be open for a move to Emirates Stadium playing alongside his idol. Ajax have placed just £25 million price tag, but the Gunners are not entirely convinced with the forward. He played a pivotal role in Ajax’s Champions League Semifinals run last campaign, establishing as one of Europe’s hottest prospects.

The reliable David Ornstein speaking on the Arseblog podcast, said that Arsenal scouts have snubbed a chance to sign Ziyech after scouts returned their full evaluation of the forward’s displays. It is currently unsure why the player is struggling to find a top-class European club, despite riling up numbers with ease last season. However, Bayern Munich and Sevilla are set to make a move for the forward in the forthcoming days.

Arsenal are keeping an eye on Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha. The Ivory Coast International is valued at 80 million by the Eagles, which is proving to be a huge obstacle for the Gunners.

Earlier this month, the Europa League Runners-up had a £40 million bid rejected, an amount which is only 50% of the selling club’s demands. Ornstein also revealed that a deal would not go through unless Arsenal can find a way to increase their bid.

Unai Emery was close to completing the second summer of signing, but a deal for Saint Etienne’s William Saliba has hit a snag because of the late interest from Tottenham Hotspur. It remains to be seen if the Gunners would be able to land the highly-rated centre-back to the Emirates Stadium.

Here’s how Twitter has reacted..

What’s next?

Arsenal fans are desperate for a new summer signing to upgrade their roster. However, their targets are expensive and have stalled a deal which is frustrating for Unai Emery.
