Arsenal Vs Brighton: Twitter reactions on Gunners failing to clinch three points as top four hopes draws curtains

Here are the Twitter reactions on Arsenal failing to clinch all three points against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Arsenal had the chance to close down the gap to fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur to one point and apply pressure in the final day of the Premier League. Albeit having that fantastic chance, the Gunners failed to capitalize and clinch the all-important victory against Brighton and Hove Albion. The game ended in a draw which put disappointment on the Emirates faithful.

A debatable penalty was awarded to the hosts when Alireza Jahanbakhsh was alleged to push down Nacho Monreal inside the penalty box. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang converted from the spot to hand over the lead in the first half. For the rest of the half, Brighton defended deep to see out the half time.

The Gunners were slow and lethargic in their approach until Solly March was brought down inside the penalty box by Granit Xhaka. Brighton’s talisman Glen Murray took the second penalty of the game and convert it. 15 minutes before the full-time whistle, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang had a fantastic chance to convert from close range, but the Gabonese International failed to hit the target.

It was frustration all-around the Emirates, and rightfully so. They look likely to finish in the fifth spot.

Here are some of the Twitter reactions between Arsenal and Brighton.
