Mahabharata characters in modern Indian cricket team

Ashish Nehra has had done pretty well in his 18-year international career as a productive pacer. He called curtains on his career after the first T20I against New Zealand last month where he had a fitting farewell and a lap of honour in his home ground Delhi.

Some expected him to play one year of IPL but he was pretty sure of calling it quits from all forms of the game. The Indian stalwart never shied away from taking up the coaching role.

Now he is looking forward to being at the helm of RCB mentor in the upcoming opulent tournament as per the reports in Mumbai Mirror.

It is also learnt that India and RCB skipper, Virat Kohli has recommended Ashish Nehra’s name to the franchise owners and at the drop of the hat, Nehra has been confirmed for the respected role.

However, the official announcement is yet to be made on the progress.

RCB were mediocre in the last season. They just lacked confidence, momentum and motivation and were spotted clueless on the whole.

Let’s hope that Nehra’s mentor role will give the much-needed spark to the RCB franchise that is yet to lay the hands on to the IPL accolade.
