Cricket Australia sign Pradeep Sahu for India series: The Australian board has signed the Indian leg-spinner for assistance.
Cricket Australia have once against acquired the services of Haryana leg-spinner Pardeep Sahu for the imminent tour of India. Australia had earlier signed the 33-year old cricketer in an assistant role during their tour of UAE last year.

Given the Australian batsmen’s weakness against facing spin bowling in the sub-continent conditions, the ploy has it in it to work wonders for them. It is worth mentioning that Australia had successfully managed to draw the first Test at Dubai last year.

Sahu to travel with the team
Having made his First-class debut in 2002 for Haryana, Sahu has played 13 First-class matches, 15 ODIs and 15 T20s since then. Sahu has also represented Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League.
In a recent interview with Mid-Day, Sahu disclosed that this will be the first time when he will be travelling with the Australian team to all the venues.
“They [Australian batsmen] want to practice playing quality wrist spin. This time they want me to travel with them to all venues. This will be a first time that I will get a chance to travel with an international team,” Sahu was quoted as saying.

“I want India to win the series”
Sahu also added that his presence will aid the Australians in practicing some special drills which aim at playing wrist-spin in a better way. He also mentioned that despite him wanting India to win, he will work for the Australians as a professional.
“There are some special drills developed for playing wrist spinners and I will look to provide the Australians with quality practice. They [Cricket Australia] wrote to the BCCI [Board of Control for Cricket in India] and my appointment was okayed by them. However, as a fan, I want India to win the series,” he concluded.
