According to several reports, FC Barcelona are bracing themselves for Neymar’s exit this summer. Neymar’s summer saga has overshadowed everything else this. Except for one man. Sorry, boy.
Kylian Mbappe is the hottest property in world football right now. The French youngster had an outstanding season last year with Monaco, as he helped them win the Ligue 1. He was also the standout performer in their brilliant run in the Champions league, ousting the likes of Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund along the way.
But it looks like he may have outgrown the club, as the big clubs in Europe have all made bids for him. Out of all the interested parties, Real Madrid and Arsenal seemed the most likely to get Mbappe.
But last week it was reported that Monaco had accepted a big of 180 million euros from Real Madrid. While Monaco have since then denied any such bid, you can safely assume that Mbappe is more than likely to move to Real Madrid this summer.
Now, Barcelona have suddenly decided to place a bid for Mbappe, as a potential replacement for Neymar. The Brazilian’s future will dictate Barca’s interest in Mbappe, as they would much rather keep Neymar than enter a bidding war with Real Madrid.
The next few weeks could prove to be very interesting, as the final destination of Mbappe could play a huge role in deciding the fate of La Liga next season.
Mbappe could easily fit in with Messi and Suarez at the Nou Camp and lay siege to every team in Spain.
