The Catalan club has announced the signing of Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich.
FC Barcelona has confirmed the signing of Chilean footballer Arturo Vidal on a three-year deal. Vidal previously played for Bayern Munich, where he spent three seasons.
The Chilean midfielder was a surprise signing from FC Barcelona as he wasn’t linked with a move away from Bayern Munich in the transfer window. However, he has had a struggling season with the German champions in 2017-18, as he only made 22 league appearances, making 35 in total.

Barcelona was heavily linked with the signing of Paris Saint Germain’s midfielder Adrien Rabiot. However, the unwillingness from the French club to sell the youngster forced Barca to shift their focus on the Chilean midfielder. The Catalan club are also reportedly pursuing Manchester United star Paul Pogba, who was central to France’s successful World Cup campaign.
Arturo Vidal joined Barcelona on a three-year contract, with a deal amounting to £27m.

The Chilean became Barcelona’s fourth major signing of the summer. The Catalan giants began their transfer window with the acquisition of Arthur from Brazilian club Gremio. Fellow Brazilian Malcolm soon followed Arthur’s steps and joined Barcelona, while Clement Lenglet joined the club from Sevilla.
Inter Milan were among the favourites to sign Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich, but they shifted their focus on Luka Modric. However, Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui believes that the Croatian star midfielder will stay at Real.
