To make matters worse for Unai Emery, not only is his job in threat, but he also faces the risk of losing one of, if not the best player in his squad to none other than Barcelona, who have in recent times, shown no hesitance at throwing the big bucks on players that they desperately desire.

Barcelona identify Arsenal star as Luis Suarez’s replacement

Luis Suarez has been fantastic for Barcelona since his arrival. However, the striker is currently in decline and Barcelona are keen to look for a replacement for him. Spanish TV show El Chiringuito claim that Barcelona have now turned their attention towards newly appointed Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabonese forward has been exceptional for the gunners since his arrival. However, despite winning the Premier League golden boot, he has been denied the chance to play in the Champions League. He has therefore not yet signed an extension with the club and his contract expires in 18 months.

The only way Arsenal can hold on to him is by qualifying for the Champions League; a task that looks increasingly difficult by the week. Barcelona are keeping tabs on the situation at North London and are reportedly planning to put a January bid in due to Antoine Griezmann’s poor form.
