If Xavi agrees to join Barcelona, it will be after 5 years that he will be returning to the Catalan city, where he gave the majority of his playing days until he chose to leave for Al Sadd in 2015, now he is the manager of that Qatari club.
It is surely a huge risk to give club legend like Xavi a role of the manager at the club but last time when they did it with Pe Guardiola, it turned out to be the most glorious days in the history of Barcelona.
Meanwhile, there are other names that have been strongly linked with the job have been Ronald Koeman, Roberto Martínez and Thierry Henry. Barcelona’s stance to date has been that Valverde will see out this season.
Next few hours will be crucial for the future of Barcelona, as Xav is set to return his home after spending 5 years away from home.
