Barcelona are prepared to offload their midfield trio in the summer transfer window.

Barcelona are currently stocked up in the midfield department with Sergio Busquets, Artur Melo, Ivan Rakitic, Sergi Roberto, Arturo Vidal, Rafinha, and Denis Suarez at disposal. Apart from these six players, Philippe Coutinho is another player who has struggled wide and might be used as a midfielder from the forthcoming summer.

Initially, there were reports that Barcelona were closing in on Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain for a free transfer and Frenkie De Jong was supposed to join Paris Saint-Germain. However, there was a huge shift in the last week with the Blaugrana securing the signature of the Netherlands International for a fee of 90 million Euros.

Adding him in the midfield would make life harder for others. But, the reigning Spanish Champions have guaranteed the 21-year-old that at least three midfielders will be shipped out in the summer transfer window, according to the Spanish publication Sport.

The reports add on that Barcelona will be willing to listen to the offers for Ivan Rakitic, Denis Suarez, and Rafinha in the summer window, which would cut short their midfield options to five players.

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde is a huge fan of the Croatian International Ivan Rakitic. But looking from the business point of view, it makes sense to cash him on before it’s too late because he is not getting younger. There were plenty of reports before the shutdown of the Summer transfer window linking him with the Italian heavyweights Inter Milan.

Denis Suarez was close to joining Arsenal, but the Spanish club made it sure that they would not allow him on loan until the end of the season. It is understood that any deal around 20 million will be enough to lure him away from Camp Nou.

The Brazilian Rafinha who moved on loan to Inter Milan last season has struggled for game time this term, making just 8 appearances. Since his contracts runs down until 2020, any deal around 15 million euros might be enough to seal the deal.

There is no doubt that arrival of Frenkie De Jong has seen excitement grow among the fans, but there is still room for improvement for the Blaugrana as they seek a left-back backup option to Jordi Alba.

Barcelona have sorted out two positions with the signings of Jean-Clair Todibo and Frenkie De Jong for a decade possibly. It is very clever to spend a hefty amount on the midfielder after announcing the arrival of the French defender in a free transfer earlier this month.
