It has been a tough month or so for Football Club Barcelona.

In what will go down as one of the darkest periods for the club in recent memory, Barcelona had problems both on and off the pitch.

In footballing terms, they lost the Spanish Super Cup in convincing manner to their arch rivals Real Madrid. But it is what happened off the pitch that really sent tremors through the footballing world.

PSG came in and snatched Neymar away from the Nou Camp, in what is now the most expensive transfer in history. Barcelona were left shell shocked as their prince was stolen away by the Paris side.

In order to replace the Brazilian, Barcelona have brought in Ousmane Dembele for around 130 million euros, making him the second most expensive player in history.

While the 20-year old Frenchman is a super talent, he will need time to develop and grow along side the likes of Messi and Suarez.

But in spite of securing the Frenchman, Barcelona are still looking to sign another world class player before the window ends in a couple of days.

Phillippe Coutinho is the one that Barcelona really want. Liverpool’s number 10 is a brilliant mid fielder, who is capable of playing both on the wings and in the center of the park.

And in spite of Liverpool stone walling the Catalan club, reports are now coming in that Coutinho has had a major row with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Brazilian has stated that he does not wish to play for Liverpool this season, and has demanded a move away from Barcelona. While Klopp has categorically ruled out his exit, this latest fight might change his mind.

This is what a Barcelona official had to say,

“My intention is for one player to come or maybe two, if possible. I won’t go into names but I admit that the club is working on the possibility of signing new players.”
