According to Sport, a deal has been agreed with the Sevilla defender.
Barcelona are set to make Clement Lenglet their first signing of the summer. Barca’s manager, Ernesto Valverde has sealed the move and the club will pay €35 million – the buyout clause for the defender, to bring him to Cam Nou. This development is claimed by Spanish outlet Sport, who also report that along with Lenglet, Barca will also announce a midfielder and a striker this summer.

The 22-year old defender has been on Barca’s radar for quite some time. Lenglet has delivered strong performances for Sevilla at the back in a season which saw the club reaching the Champions League quarterfinals.
The need for a new defender looked paramount after Barcelona slumped to Levante in the second-last game of the league. The defeat denied Barcelona an invincible season.
Clement Lenglet joined Sevilla only last season. He has a contract with the club until 2021. Sport also earlier reported that Clement Lenglet will sign a five-year deal with Barcelona.
Barcelona has reportedly beaten Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal to sign the defender. Earlier, Mundo Deportivo claimed that the French had asked for three-weeks to make up his mind on his future. It was also reported that Sevilla offered an improved contract to Clement Lenglet.
The Frenchman impressed the Sevilla faithful last season as he was a first-team regular in the defence. Lenglet made 48 appearances for Sevilla the previous season.
Barcelona intends to pose a strong challenge for European glory next season, as the club has failed to go past the quarter-final since three seasons.
