Barcelona vs Levante lineups: Barcelona predicted lineup vs Levante

Barcelona will take on Levante in a vital La Liga clash as they aim to secure a second consecutive league title. We take a look at their predicted lineup vs Levante.

Barcelona could win their second consecutive La Liga title if they beat Levante in the Saturday night clash at Camp Nou.

The side’s season has been brilliant so far, as they look on course for a domestic double. Barcelona have also reached the final of the Copa del Rey where they face Valencia.

In the Champions League, Valverde’s men were finally able to break the quarterfinal barrier as they beat Manchester United in both the legs. The side will meet Liverpool in the semifinal of the continental tournament.

The Barcelona manager rotated a fair bit of players for the mid-week clash against Alaves, but secured a 2-0 win. However, as the Catalan side aims to wrap the La Liga title this weekend, we could see a return of key players for the game.

Let’s take a look at the Barcelona predicted lineup vs Levante.

Barcelona predicted lineup vs Levante:

Goalkeeper: Marc-Andre ter Stegen

The Barcelona goalkeeper has been one of the top performers in his position across the top-5 leagues of Europe. Ter Stegen is only behind Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak in the number of goals conceded throughout the La Liga campaign and is expected to start against Levante.

Defence: Roberto, Umtiti, Lenglet, Alba

Jordi Alba and Clement Lenglet were rested for the game against Alaves but could return for the clash against Levante. Gerard Pique featured in the mid-week clash and Valverde could decide to keep him on the bench, keeping in mind the game against Liverpool.

Samuel Umtiti would be hoping for more action after he put on an impressive display against Alaves earlier this week.

Midfield: Rakitic, Busquets, Arthur

Despite the Champions League semifinal against Liverpool next week, Valverde could field a full-strength midfield for this game.

As mentioned above, the Barcelona manager would be aiming to wrap up the league title. Moreover, he has efficient midfield resources on the bench in Arturo Vidal and Carles Alena, who were decent against Alaves in the mid-week game.

Forward: Dembele, Messi, Coutinho

I expect Valverde to start Lionel Messi in the game. Luis Suarez could be rested for his return to Anfield next week.

Barcelona have a chance to win the La Liga this week and could use a full strength forward lineup as well.

Luis Suarez is expected to lead the attack again as Ousmane Dembele and Phil Coutinho remain on either flank.

Barcelona predicted lineup vs Levante:

Ter Stegen; Roberto, Umtiti, Lenglet, Alba; Rakitic, Busquets, Arthur; Dembele, Messi, Coutinho
