CSK posts adorable pictures of Dhoni with daughter Ziva on father's day

The national governing body for cricket, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allowed the families of cricketers to travel with them on the England tour.

India will begin its UK tour with the two match T20I series against Ireland to be played on the 27th and 29th of June. Once that is done, India would then move to England where the first T20I begins on the 3rd of July.

Before this year’s IPL began, many were saying that Dhoni’s career is almost over and he is no longer the player that he once used to be. However, Dhoni showed one and all that he still has lot of cricket remaining in him.

Dhoni could not only be an asset for the team as a keeper, as he hardly misses anything, he is a gifted batsman and would assume his role back as the finisher.

There is a school of thought that he may be sent up the order, say at number 5. This would also be a blessing for India as he would then hold the batting line up together and others could always play around him.

After BCCI’s approval, wife Sakshi Dhoni and daughter Ziva Dhoni are reportedly travelling with MSD to UK. The official handle of the Indian cricket team uploaded a picture on Instagram with Dhoni and Ziva waving at the camera.

The tour would be very long and the players would only return to their home turf after around two and a half months. As players would be there for such a long span, it is a wise decision to allow their families on the tour. This will help them to focus well and be in a better frame of mind.
