BCCI announce squad for Nidahas Trophy 2018
In a few days time, team India will return back home to rest and recuperate as look to recharge their batteries before the next season.
BCCI have already mentioned that they will be looking to rest key players for the tri-nation T20I series against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, as they want their star players to be fresh for the more important tours later this year.
India will travel to both England and Australia by the end of the year, which are expected to be massive tests for this Indian side.
Virat Kohli’s men created history by becoming the first Indian side to win an ODI series in South Africa, and will look to do more of the same in both England and Australia.
The Nidahas Trophy is being hosted by Sri Lanka to commemorate their 70 years of Independence, as they look to win the tournament in front of their own fans.
BCCI has now announced the squad for the Nidahas trophy, resting, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvi, Bumrah and Kuldeep.
Rohit Sharma will be leading the Indian side, with Shikhar Dhawan set to be his deputy.
Vijay Shankar, Rishab Pant, Washington Sundar and Deepak Hooda have been drafted into the squad and these domestic stars would be hoping to make a mark in theT20 series with all major stars rested.
India would be hoping that these youngsters can find their feet in the International circuit in this tournament.
