Brahim Diaz to Real Madrid: The youngster has reportedly decided not to renew his contract at Manchester City.
Real Madrid have had a struggling season so far. The Spanish giants are currently sixth in La Liga after a rather eventful first half of the season.
The club parted ways with Julen Lopetegui after a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Barcelona in season’s first El Clasico. Santiago Solari was awarded a permanent contract at the club after an impressive start, but the side slumped to a disappointing 3-0 defeat against Eibar.
Real Madrid are now looking to make amends and are in the transfer market, and are reportedly interested in signing Brahim Diaz.
The midfielder is also keen on the move, according to reports from Spain. Here are the full details:
Brahim Diaz to Real Madrid:
The midfielder signed for Manchester City at the age of 14 and shined for the youth teams at the club. Brahim Diaz was touted as the next big star for City, but the player has hardly received any chances under Pep Guardiola so far.
The youngster now believes that he will not be getting opportunities, and wants a move away.
👋 Guardiola on Brahim Díaz…
"With Brahim, it is simple. We want to extend his contract for four or five years. We do absolutely everything for him to stay but my advice is if he doesn’t want to stay he has to leave."#MCFC pic.twitter.com/YWW8jyiseh

According to Goal, the player has been assured of first-team action by Real Madrid if he makes a move in January. However, inconsistent performances may lead the club to loan him out in the new season.
No official communication have been made between the clubs for the move, however.
"If he doesn't want to stay, he has to leave." 👋
Pep Guardiola has likened Brahim Diaz's contract situation at @ManCity to Jadon Sancho's before his move to @BVB. 📝

He made five substitute appearances for Manchester City last season, which earned him a Premier League winners’ medal. This season, he played in both the Carabao Cup games, but is yet to make into the match-day squad for the Premier League.
